Marca Sue

Marca Sue DeLacerda is a mostly self taught artist.   Her artwork ranges from spiritual to whimsical.  The whimsical art often reflects the humor she sees when life is viewed as a cartoon.  The spiritual pieces in her  body of work feature a series of collages based on hymns and other mixed media artworks incorporating religious symbolism.

The artist has won several awards for her artwork including a best of show for one of her collages.  After conducting three collage workshops and presenting block printing and collage demonstrations to local artist associations, she finds she loves teaching and sharing her tips with other artists.  Contact Marca Sue at marcasue@marcasue.com  for information to schedule a workshop or demonstration.

Recently re-elected as President of Visual Artists of Cedar Hill, Marca Sue hopes to continue to promote the visual arts in Best Southwest Cities and grow the organization.  She looks forward to working with the talented board in place and to an exciting 2010/2011 club year.

Favorite Mediums

Mixed media is my primary type of art, but I also love creating linoleum block prints and incorporating my prints in my mixed media art.  Pastels, watercolors, and acrylics are also mediums I like to explore.
